My 3 AM epiphany!
Sharing my 3 AM epiphany. I’m busy sketching out designs, paper and pencil, and organizing myself for the entire launch of Art Poles for 2022. Notes and images scattered all over the floor of my gallery. This is the most challenging step for me. And I finally FIGURED OUT WHY, hence the epiphany! It is when I’m selecting the wood for a composition, when I’m seeing the patterns in the natural grain....this is how I make many decisions about design and composition. Not really on that sketch to scale of that future 5 foot Art Pole. My palate is not a standard canvas that is always the same. I think it this element that makes my art unique. It is the smell of the cedar burning. The smoke in my eyes and sawdust all over me. And the paint in my hair. That sketch is definitely a map of where I’m headed for sure.....with a little delightful change here and there! I love my work
